Drawn in Space documents a solo exhibit by the artist, Vivian Pratt. Fragile sculptures, small and large, were made with wire, cloth and paper and installed in the Bromfield Gallery, some hanging from the ceiling. In her statement, she says, ‘Drawing is a meditation for me. Substituting wire for pencil and shaping paper or cloth over the wire, my process comes alive; my drawings become dimensional. The shapes connect to the world around me as the wire alludes to line – line drawn in space.”
