Have you ever wondered why God chose a river as a symbol to help us understand the character of His Holy Spirit? Rivers flow through the pages of Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation. As we are drawn to their waters, we find the Spirit of God. River passages give us an interesting composite understanding of God, the Spirit’s, deeper work in our lives. Jesus said that we are God's dwelling place, His temple, and the River that flows from our innermost being is the Holy Spirit. This "River exploration" focuses on the passage found in Ezekiel 47:1-12; each chapter is a deeper level.
