Acerca del libro electrónico
Photographs of US and Australian troops in Afghanistan 2009.
Australian based photographer Gary Ramage spent two months in Afghanistan in 2009. He spent 4 weeks with the US Army’s 10th Mountain Division 3-71 Squadron in Logar province in the district of Kerwar in Eastern Afghanistan. He travelled south to Oruzgan province where he was embedded with the Australian forces for four weeks.
This book would not have been possible without the help and cooperation of the United States Army and the US Public Affairs unit at Bagram. Special thanks to Captain Kamil Sztalkoper, Captain Joe Vasquez and the men of 3-71 Squadron and 1-32 Infantry Battalion.
To the men and women of the Australian military forces in Tarin Kowt and Kandahar - a big thank you. To the men of the OMLT teams - you guys rock. To Lieutenant Colonel Jeff Squire and Captain Chris Linden for being the meat in the sandwich between us and the headquarters, and for taking all of our crap. I do not envy the difficult task you guys had - thank you very much. Finally to my wife Alison, who is always supportive of my adventures and tolerates my long absences from home.
