Marsden Bay was the home of our greatest and best times, of fun and adventure. It is a place of childhood memories; of escapades, of explorations and daring. Racing down the stone steps to get to the beach; Hunting through the rock pools for crabs and starfish; Climbing the stacks to reach an undisturbed, sun blessed seat at the height of the summer. The thought of injury never crossed our minds as we clambered and climbed the cliffs to escape the advancing tide when it was impossible to get back without being soaked to the skin. We walked and ran as we made our way from one quest to another along the rocky coves of Marsden.

Marsden Bay is a place of relaxation, of reflection and contemplation. Meandering along the expanses of pebbles and sands and clambering over glistening seaweed covered rocks; listening to the dragging of the shingle as the sea reclaims yet another wave and the screaming of the gulls as they argue over everything and nothing. The rugged beauty of the coastal formations yields peaceful meditations and reminiscences that flow as a reaction to the roaring of the seas on a stormy day. Every hour spent at Marsden brings forth a myriad of deliberations which help to compose the rambling strands of a life less ordinary.
