Acerca del libro electrónico
In December 2011, I drove through the town of Raetihi, New Zealand on the way to the Whanganui River. I was so taken with Raetihi that I vowed to return when I could spend more time with my camera in hand. Three days later I was back.
The main street struck me like a scene from an old western movie. And yet there were signs of everyday life and an appealing array of quirky, artsy elements. It was irresistible to my photographer’s eye.
Although I was very drawn to the town, I don’t pretend to know much about Raetihi except what I’ve read on their website and Wikipedia. [http://www.raetihi.com] [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raetihi]. Rather the images in this book simply document my observations on that lovely day in December.

I have always enjoyed taking pictures, but digital photography has opened a whole new universe for me. I’m free to try anything, make lots of mistakes and occasionally capture an image that thrills me. I am so grateful that since my retirement I have the time to continue to learn and grow as a photographer.
