We travelled from the North to the South of India, and were mesmerized by the contrasts, great beauty and wealth and great poverty and hardships. We visited rural farms, vast mausoleums. We watched bathers dipping in the Ganges and cows and bufalows cooling off in their own bathing pools. Travelling along the roads, I understood why journeys took so long - there is chaos! tuk-tuks, motor bikes, cycles, cows, oxen, cars, lorrys, all trying to get into the same space. The noise, the markets, the colours....
