2008. The peace of a Borokanis north shore night is disturbed by a fiery explosion. Out of this fire fall machine parts, and then, a man. This man's name is Rono Kenuk, and he comes from "far away."

A year later, in Metriga, 18-year-old mechanics prodigy Daisuke Kerados tours Denanta Labs hoping for an internship. Rono Kenuk is employed here as part of a small team working on futuristic appliances and gadgetry. Denanta is run by an enigmatic figure only known as "Richard."

Rono wants to go back where he came from and thinks Daisuke can help him get there. Daisuke wants no part in this, but ends up helping anyway after his explosive temper gets the better of him. What they end up discovering is beyond belief, as it may lead to the greatest treasure in Borokanis history. But for Rono, this could mean a way back home. Thanks to Rono's big mouth, however, he is not going to be the only one after it.
