There's street photography, and then there's photography of the street. Photographer Markus Suomela Vaga is the latter. His eyes are drawn to the multilayered grim and grit of urban textures–torn posters, peeling paint, and old, rusted doors. In his own words, he stops, stares, and photographs something that caught his eye, much to the bewilderment of those passing by who wonder what's interesting about a ripped up piece of a poster. They're not looking closely enough.
