Acerca del libro
“Naturally PROVINCETOWN” is the offering of a photographer born in Japan, who chose more than a decade ago to come to live here on the Outer Cape. His book is a beautiful collection of one private person’s intimate relationship with both his camera and with the diverse, almost magical world of Cape wildlife that has come to know him and to recognize him. Through his own capacity for long periods of quiet stillness, these wild critters of the Outer Cape have come to allow him more than usual access to their private world of individual quirks, antics, joys, cautions and endless struggles simply to keep on living. His photography ultimately captures us as well, as it offers the unusual opportunity to see and feel the hidden personality of the wildness here as he does.

Acerca del creador
I was born on the southern island of Kyushu in Japan. I live now in Provincetown, MA, at the tip end of Cape Cod - referred to locally and with affection as the Outer Cape. I have always been a quiet, private person - the sort that often prefers the company of Nature to the company of humans. It was through my camera that I found a deeply personal and comfortable relationship with Nature here on Outer Cape Cod. I was surprised when my friend one day told me that my relationship with Nature and with its wildlife comes through in the intimacy of the captures. Sharing my ongoing personal relationship with Nature through my photographs actually has, over time, enriched and deepened my relationship with humans. It has been a wonderful win/win discovery in my personal as well as my creative life. My hope is that others who share a connection with wildlife and/or with the Outer Cape will enjoy my world as shared in this book. --SK
