When does a person exchange the truth for their truth? What experiences, past or present go into such a decision? When does a person check out of reality and into their own personal reality, funneling their experiences through a skewed set of beliefs that allow them to live in a life of another person’s creation?

Jennifer changed every aspect of her life to accommodate his life, fully aware that she’d never marry him. Why would she do that? Ethan, privileged in every sense of the word has carried his family secret unable to focus on anything other than it, as he lives his lives which ever way he sees fit. In his mind it’s money over matters that don't pay. He’s made the coveted list, one of the most beautiful people alive. He’s talented, rich, comes from a supportive family but like most families; they have their indiscretions. Those decisions grandmothers and grandfathers made to propel their sons and daughters, the next generation. In their mind the secrets are dead and buried. These secrets died with the previous generations, or so they thought.
