I have been a documentary photographer for over sixty years. Always taking photographs in the classic documentary style. Using only natural available light. No directing people, or altering the actual settings, or interfering with the actions happening before the camera. All the photographs have been captured as they happen. This series of books is from my personal project "The Open Road." Taking photographs every week in some part of England. It documents the lives of 21st century horse draw travellers and their families. Who have chosen a lifestyle, away from consumerism and living more in tune with nature. Their mobile home is a horse drawn wagon. They live and work on farms in the countryside. Travelling on country roads, throughout the year. This is their story of a disappearing lifestyle and showing a lost fast changing English landscape.
