Keukenhof Gardens. Tucked away in the countryside of Holland amidst fields of tulips the gardens are said to be among the most beautiful in the work. Only open to the public during tulip season, which lasts from the 19th of March to the 21st of May, the gardens are now in their 60th year and sport over a million blooming flowers as well as the largest sculpture garden in the Netherlands. In the eight weeks that they are open, more than 800,000 visitors from around the world flock to the region to visit the gardens, which sport a total of more than 300 varieties of flowers.
