In 2017, notoriously prolific singer/songwriter Chris Anderson chose to celebrate 30 years of music-making with a series of albums and singles that found the artist revisiting and repurposing his past material, fashioning those old songs into vibrant and vital new works. Over the course of the year, 14 albums were recorded and released, along with 10 singles, each one celebrating a different period of the artist's musical career. This book breaks down each release, with recording notes, song anecdotes, and other stories that pertain to the music.

Given the vast wealth of material available for refurbishing, this project has since been extended in perpetuity, hence the "Vol. 1" in the title. Dozens of further albums and singles are in the works and will be detailed in later volumes of this book.
