After learning that her mother had kept a lifelong secret, Christine began her search to understand her mother and the circumstances surrounding her birth in Nazi Germany in 1933. Unknown to the family, Christine's mother had a trove of photographs, diaries, and memorabilia. This mystery inspired Christine to pursue a Masters degree in German studies, including areas of education, fashion, Jewish studies and Holocaust Studies.
