Simply put, "be assured…" is the author’s compilation of reasons why the Bible is a reliable document. The title is an excerpt from Acts 2:36, a part of the very first gospel message: “be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.” While the book does not attempt to interpret scripture, it does cover a wide range of issues.

Topics include creation, evolution, historical accuracy, archaeology, science, prophecy, unity, and even the obvious—wisdom that works. Written to be brief by a “layman” in easy to understand language, some of the topics include an appendix with charts and more detailed information. The author summarizes his explanation of the book in a closing paragraph of his preface:

“Please don’t get me wrong in this—the Bible is not in need of someone to defend, explain, or validate it. That said, it doesn’t hurt to consider the facts and judge for yourself what is true and what is not. It is without a doubt the most important decision one will ever make.”
