This book was created by Art and Design students in the Department of art and Graphic Design at the University of the Pacific under the supervision of Daniel Kasser, Professor and Director of the Stockton Re-Photographic Survey 1995-2015. The book documents the EBMUD water line from the foothills of the Sierra to the East Bay region of San Francisco. The photographs are designed to emphasize the diverse terrain and structural complexity of the pipeline as it passes through multiple communities, under, over and through the infrastructure of automobile, rail, mountains and rivers on its path to Lafayette Reservoir. The pipeline significantly contributes to the social and economic vitality of the east bay communities of the San Francisco Bay area.
