Andrea Improta was born in 1972 in Terni, a small town in central Italy. At the age of 13 he approached photography for the first time thanks to his uncle who let him in use one of his cameras. Only when he moved to the family country house bought his first equipment and set up the dark room in the closet of the farmhouse. First use color film that replaces almost immediately with negative black and white that develops and prints by himself. For two years he is president of the photographic club in his city and participates in several group exhibitions. He set up some personal exhibitions and he is in 2005 for the first time at the Festival of the two worlds of Spoleto. His photographs appear in various publications and catalogs.
