My name is Evan Brorby. I am currently 15 and a sophomore in High School attending Grace Church School in New York City. I have always loved space and the mystery of what is out there and this year I took my love of space to the next level by taking photos of the stars.


Astrophotography is taking pictures of the night sky. While the lights of New York City may dim the stars, the sky is not just simply black. Space is made up of countless galaxies, nebulas and star clusters that we never truly see from our home. These clouds of gas and collections of stars are often so faint that they are impossible to see with our own eyes. So through astrophotography, I wanted to discover this hidden light for myself and see the invisible.
