Albert Mole is the headteacher of the village school in Alphabetville, where each of the cheeky little animal inhabitants are named around the letters of the alphabet, and have important jobs to do around the village. Albert is to say the least, very put out when all of his so called 'best friends' find trivial excuses for turning down his birthday party invitation. 'oh bother' he says grumpily, 'I might as well stay in bed all day for my birthday'. Well does he or.....may be he gets an unexpected surprise or two....shall we find out!?

Illustrated Books for Children. Illustrated Name Pictures. Introducing The Animals at Work in Alphabetville. They keep themselves fiendishly busy in their inevitably cheeky way, and we find each one of these endearing characters is cleverly named after a different letter of the alphabet, i.e. Albert Mole is the headteacher, Boris Bear is a chef, Clarrie is a nurse etc. Our illustrated book 'Albert's Birthday Surprise' has a cast of 7 characters from the village who get in a muddle, which is of no surprise. Lastly we are given an introduction to all of the Animals at Work and their jobs around the village. Each of the follow up illustrated books will have a different cast from the village bumping in to each other in an imaginative way. The @Animalsatwork have a large presents on Twitter where the opinionated artist Emmie FaMouse is holder of the pen and paints. We should also soon be hearing the Animals at Work in song on disc trying out their vocal talents.
