Acerca del libro
The photo-book is composed of images and interviews collected during my trip to Cuba in September 2016. On the 21st of March 2016, the Airforce One landed at Jose Marti Airport in La Havana, for the first time in 80 years. With that, US President Barack Obama set foot on the Caribbean island. His intentions were clear to encourage the process of thawing between the two countries, making it clear that he wanted to end the embargo before the end of his mandate in 2017. At that moment, I decided that I had to know Cuba before a possible change, which did not happen with the new US president Donald Trump. Cuba is enigmatic and contradictory, culturally rich, but economically poor with complex and peculiar socio-political context. The images of this book represent a personal vision of Cuba: what I saw, what I was told and what I learned.
