James and Bianca Shaw live in the Canadian wilderness where they are inspired to write children's books in between working normal office jobs, driving kids to soccer, running a crazy hobby farm, and doing their taxes. We hear nothing from our bedroom window at night - dead silence. Depending on the time of year, we open our window and hear crickets and frogs, or owls hooting, or the coyote packs howling from hill to hill. Deer wander around like community pets. Bears, bobcats, and cougars keep things interesting (keep your chickens in the barn at night!) Nature is our happy place. Summer sunshine in the lake, or winter sparkles in the snow... it's beautiful. Go enjoy it.
