Barcelona was the location for the Bevan's October 2005 holiday.



We stayed in a small apartment close to the beach at Barceloneta, and the marinas. It proved a great base from which to explore the city.



We paid visits to the Gaudi monuments; La Pedrera, Park Guell and the Sagrada Familia, as well as the stadium at Montjuic and other 1992 Olympic sites.



One of our best days, however, was taking a train ride to the spectacular monastery at Monserrat.
