Our nation is the peninsula surrounded by the sea in three sides. It is known as the East Sea, the Western Sea(Yellow Sea) and the Southern Sea. Each sea has different appearance such as the shape of coastline, its depth and sand & clay underwater, fish being caught. Our nation has total 3,400 islands, and there are about 3,400 islands located in South Korea. The islands mainly spread out over the western and southern coast, and the 2/3 of them is the uninhabited islands.
