The State of Victoria was settled by Europeans only two lifetimes ago. As time moves on our descendants will find it progressively more difficult to obtain personal stories and information regarding their ancestors. It is incumbent on the present generation to glean what we can of the character and stories of our forebears, how and why they came to this country and of their early life in Victoria. This book attempts that task in relation to the many ancestors of just one current family.
