Acerca del creador
The collection includes modern and contemporary art from but not be limited to, art primarily owned by the Duncan's. Their extensive acquisition of nearly 2,500 works features both Midwestern and internationally recognized artists. The Clarinda Carnegie Library building was built in 1908 as one of the 1,689 libraries that businessman and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie built across the United States. In November 2014, CCAM opened after a year-long restoration project by the Duncans. Their sole mission with the project was to give back to their childhood community. The CCAM Mission To enrich the region through educational programming and premier art exhibitions. To celebrate the historical significance of the Clarinda Carnegie Library building. To make the museum available to the community as a cultural & educational resource.
