I am an artist and I have never hunted. But I moved to Idaho where hunting plays a major role in the lives of the people who live here. I paint life and sometimes I paint a subject not popular with many including me. I ask that you look anyway . You may see a side of hunting you never considered. I tried to tell the story with my thoughts on the art too so the landscapes got much attention and time. Hunting has sustained life from time immemorial and my guess is it is here to stay. I ask only that you do not judge but see it as life and life ends with death . It is reality. I did not paint this from the heart of a trophy hunter. But of a grandfather and his son perhaps taking the grandson on his first hunt. or a father taking his daughter out on an early autumn morning and so hoping she does not yell out, "RUN BAMBI , RUN"...
