Acerca del libro
Kids Share: Tibetan and Vermont Children's Narrative Book is filled with 135 photographs and pieces of artwork! The themes each child writes about, their artwork and photographs will touch your heart. Learn from children while you walk into their world through Kids Share Workshops first Kids Share: Global Children's Narrative Book!

Working through the arts to help others is rewarding and can inspire cross-cultural understanding. Children the world over share many common needs: love, shelter, nourishment, education, play and more. Our goal is to give kids an opportunity to express themselves through illustrated narratives. We can all learn from children’s perceptions of the world.

The Tibetan culture is endangered. We hope this book helps people understand the challenges facing the Tibetan people -- many of whom are living in exile -- and inspires Vermont kids to explore the tremendous possibilities of the creative arts.

Kids Share Workshops, Inc.
Central Vermont

Kids Share Workshops, Inc. (“KSWI”), a Vermont nonprofit corporation that provides cross-cultural art and literacy workshops to students in Vermont and abroad. Each annual Kids Share Workshop has a mirror component in Vermont (we conduct a Workshop in one or two classrooms in Vermont, and a matching Workshop abroad.) Our Workshops guide students to write about themselves, their communities, and to illustrate their narratives. At the end of the annual Workshop we print a beautiful, full-color book containing the students’ cross-cultural illustrated works. These books, with their “kids-eye” views of differing cultures, are featured in Montpelier’s Kellogg-Hubbard Library and many other libraries throughout Vermont. We also sell them to raise funds to support the Workshops and the communities we touch.
