jess rowland is a self taught poet, actually, trained as a visual artist, and much of my interdisciplinary art work is woven together with poetry type concept or metaphor. I love playing with the juxtapositions of words and metaphors. I began writing as a teenager, haunting the school library poetry section, and then began writing again in my late 20's when i discovered the accordion and began writing to accompany the sound of the instrument.
