For those who don't know me, my name is Joshua Pierce Mazur I'm a 23 year old photographer based out of Dallas, TX. I was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma but raised for the majority of my life in a small East Texas town called Mabank. The simplicity of my hometown has really influenced me to be the artist that I am. I've never wanted to produce pieces that only a certain group of people could interpret and resonate with.

Perhaps the complexity of my art comes from the simplicity of it's delivery. I've always been enamored with interactive art and artists that had the nerve to give the viewer a power over their work that straight photography or realism cannot provide. I feel this is the best way to evoke emotion and initiate an involuntary connection to my work. I'd like to think that Blot Portraits has accomplished that feat .
