Mis Aventuras is a bilingual children's book written by Brenda Dinorah González and illustrated beautifully by JavierFlores. The book travels through time and seasons of a young migrant girl. The stories bounce from place to place as she moved to find work with her family. It depicts her adventures of mischief and delight while being part of a migrant family. As one of the youngest of twelve children she was too young to work in the fields; she found herself enjoying the migrant life and embracing every moment of it, even if she ended up getting hurt most of the time. Her family would jokingly call her Dolores, because something always seemed to get hurt.

Brenda is a kid at heart, she followed her dream of becoming a teacher and graduated from Eastern Michigan University. She teaches Kindergarten and 1st grade in a Spanish Immersion multi-age classroom in Ypsilanti, Mi. Throughout her Masters program she researched migrant farm-workers stories and books, they all seemed melancholy and sorrowful; this is when she decided to share her own stories of adventure as a migrant child and began writing Mis Aventuras. It wasn't always sad, for her it was the best time of her life! She is grateful to have her brother JavierFlores on board with his beautiful illustrations. González lives in Ypsilanti, with her husband and daughters Paloma and Aurora.
