Famous Dick’s Cafe in St George, Utah; where names like; John Wayne, Robert Redford, Jane Russell, Gabby Hayes and Slim Pickens spent time while filming. The interior was filmed for the movie "The Electric Horseman." "Dick" Hammer began his hamburger stand in 1935 and then finally his business developed into a 200 customer restaurant complete with rustic charm and memorabilia. In 1999 the building and its adjoining barbershop (my father's barbershop) was demolished to make way for a local bank. Before the doors were closed, I took time off from college (as a photography major) and attempted to capture the mood and feeling of the final day's of Dick's Cafe and Knell's Barbershop.
