Shaun Schroth was born in Elkhart, Indiana. He studied advertising and graphic design at the Elkhart Area Career Center, earned his Associate in Arts studying Video Production at the Art Institute of Washington, his Bachelor of Arts in Photography, and Masters of Arts in Teaching at the University of the District of Columbia. Currently, Shaun is an Adjunct Photography Professor at the University of the District of Columbia, working as a freelance photographer and designer, as well as running a portrait studio, Imaginem, focused on wetplate collodion tintypes, large format instant film, and other unique photographic processes. Shaun's work has been shown locally in Washington, DC at various venues, ranging from universities to cafes to various galleries in the area, as well as internationally in traveling photography exhibitions and commercially as promotional materials for clients.
