The skill of a sculptor to take a block of marble and to fashion it so that it seems alive has always amazed and thrilled me. The works I have focused on, especially in the context of their environment, are charged with motion and emotion.

The challenge for a photographer, though, is to take more than a record shot, to add another dimension, to create an impression that in itself is a work of art.
