Ben Pierce was raised in the heart of Cajun country, Lafayette, LA, located in south central Louisiana. He is a graduate of the Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture from Louisiana State University, and has recently returned to Lafayette where he lives with his wife and young son. A student of art and design, but never one of photography, it wasn't until Ben left Louisiana following college that his passion for landscape photography was born. Upon returning to the state, Ben has focused his photographic endeavors almost strictly on the swamps of south Louisiana. He aspires to capture beautiful images of the swamps in order to shift the belief that swamps are unattractive and uninviting environments.
