Acerca del libro
I have been a public school art teacher for 35 years. This book of drawings and paintings portrays my observations over the last 10 years of students in a learning environment. These drawings are are just some of the over 200 studies I have made of students engaged in what I have identified as 4 categories of behavior: creating, socializing, being reflective, and being detached.
I have observed that the students gestures (of the face, hands, or body) expresses the inner processes of the thinking mind, the feeling heart and the imagining soul. In these studies I tried to capture the feeling and mood of those moments of emotional, intellectual, and social connection.
On the first 4 pages I have written 2 essays. One is about education and learning. The other is about the art work.
