The book shows a three-week journey through Central and Western Bhutan, and North Central India. Bhutan is a Himalaya Mountain Kingdom, isolated from the outside world until the late 1990’s. Now it is trying to catch up with the twenty-first century while still holding on to its remarkable culture identity. Gross National Happiness is deemed more important then its Gross National Product and the wellbeing of its people is measured alongside productivity. There are over 100 photographs of monasteries, temples, dzongs, terraced rice paddies, traditional handicrafts and portraits of the colorful Bhutanese people.

In India a loop by bus was taken from Delhi to Jaipur to Agra and back to Delhi. Highlighted is the Amber Fort in Jaipur, Taj Mahal in Agra and Fatehpur Sikri between Jaipur and Agra.
