The premier issue of Nord Magazine, Issue Zero: Skins, is also our pilot, and we at Nord would like as many of you to see it as possible. To start our first dialogue, all the content found in the limited-run print magazine is available for this pilot issue only, through this website. This pilot is a foundation, a chassis, and a backbone of what Nord is. This is the starting point, and the beginning of a new conversation, and the compass points up.

What does skin mean to you? Is it race? Leather, fur? That membrane which contains you? Or that which you shed and a shiny new layer is revealed from within?

Skin is about beauty, about softness, and intimacy. But skin is also a map, a story of scars and marks and textures. A good skin is also luxury commodity, from creams and cleansers and washes on our own surface, to those elegant furs you see from Fendi, and that pair of snakeskin heels from Louboutin.

This issue, Skins, is an equalizer. Where there is beauty in the unique surface that the rest of the world sees, and where confidence is the only thing coming out of the pores.
