The images in this book were made between 28 June and 7 July, 2014, on a visit to New York for the international retrospective exhibition of one of the city's most influential street photographers - Garry Winogrand. The urban landscape of Winogrand's 1960s New York may have submitted itself to the inevitability of change but the people that Garry loved to capture on film - even if it was simply to 'see what they looked like as photographs' - perhaps they, at least, remain as beguiling as they ever were.
