Local photographer Steve Rogers has produced a book that guides readers over two carefully devised routes to take in 37 of Portisheads stunning Public Artworks. Each routes takes 2-3 hours to walk depending on how leisurely you want to take it. Both routes are 90% 'flat' meaning that they also make excellent routes for cycling.

In less than 15 years Portisheads dour disused dock has been regenerated into 'Port Marine', and with it came the modern Public Artworks, which extend into the adjacent 'Village Quarter' and 'Ashlands' Nature Reserve.

The book describes the routes in great detail and is backed up with some unique aerial maps. There are also photographic tips on the best time of the day (position of the sun) to visit each artwork to give you the best chance to get that 'killer shot'.

The walks are equally suitable for a solo stroll with a camera or a full blown family expedition! And when you are finished with the exercise and sightseeing, the book will look totally at home on your coffee table as a photographic record of why Portishead has become such a beautiful and popular place to live or visit.
