I was knee deep in a veterinary technician career when I got a call from my mom. What she shared changed both our lives forever. My family and I made a big pivot, picked up our lives and moved to the desert so I could become my mother's caregiver. It was culture shock in every way. To manage the intense emotions, conversations, and life during this time, I started downloading my thoughts and feelings at the end of every day. This is the culmination of my work during this time.
