A 60th birthday party that involves bikes and picnics. Who would have guessed?

Actually who wouldn't have guessed that our mum, Jacint / Cinta / JC would have had it any other way.
As much as I berate the fact, it makes me very proud to have a mother who acts like a teenage boy, or as James puts it, "like a blue heeler puppy" ; bounding with energy and curiosity and not giving a damn what anybody thinks. It's a trait that I am grateful to have inherited and hope also to be remembered for in the decades to come, the difference being that I know how to apply lipstick.

I am so glad that I was present for this milestone birthday. Having the six of us all together was more than a novelty, it really worked- we had a lot of fun. So do cherish these pics Mum, it may be another 6 years before it happens again!
