Whilst attending a banger racing event in summer 2013, I was overwhelmed by the sense of community and family involvement in what can be a loud, dangerous and intimidating environment. This realisation led to the body of work you see here. The photographs in this book aim to demonstrate their relationships, passion and camaraderie. Family and friends form the core of most teams and often have two or three generations both working and competing side by side.
