All I knew going in to this country was that "it's like landing on the moon".

I understand that sentiment now. Iceland really is unlike any place on this planet with smells, colours and textures akin to an enchanted fairyland and a climate that makes Tasmania look sane.

It is this otherworldliness that makes Iceland so irresistibly photogenic, and needless to say the proof is here in this 104 page pudding.

While I would strongly encourage anyone to travel to Iceland, I feel it is necessary to emphasize the word 'postcards' in the title of this book.

When the sun does appear in Iceland, it is truly ethereal. However, please do not be under the illusion that the sun shines for more than 90 consecutive seconds!
