I am an African American quilter with over 30 years of art quilt making experience. I use family photos and my own hand-dyed, hand-painted fabric to make fabric portraits of African American work and life. I am currently working on a series of quilts about Dreams I never had, and another series about International Human Rights. I work in collaboration with various groups to make community art in the US, the Bahamas, China and Kenya.
