A native of Chicago, she attended Northern Illinois University and received a degree in Art Education. In 1980 she moved to New Mexico and took courses at the University of New Mexico in Science receiving a second education endorsement. Having run a business involving graphic arts and taught a few years in both Art and Science, she has devoted her time recently to pursuing various favorite art venues, and in particular photography.
