The diary is not a work of literature. These are the thoughts of an ordinary man. It is a record of the events that were important to him. It contains references to things that we have not identified. We have left these as they are. We have added clippings from the Dixon Evening Telegraph of all the events we could find reported. We have added Photographs that are 100 years, or more, old.
