Retired primary school art teacher, i have spent a life-time working with both children and art. This book arose from a request to provide stimulating material for early years literacy scheme. The commissioning school asked for story blankets with a theme of forest. After making the blankets (one for each season) I realized there was an opportunity to make interesting digital images from photographs of individual creatures on the applique blankets.
