We were ten individuals who came together to explore and photograph the beauty and treasures of Ethiopia. We wanted to learn its history, absorb and document the lives of its people today.



The book we have put together is a collection of our different visions, experiences and understandings. We have come to appreciate the religious devotion exhibited by the thousands of pilgrims to Lalibela. We believe that it is that devotion which allows the Ethiopians to overcome the difficulties so abundant in their lives and remain friendly and welcoming to foreigners like us.
