This is a book about our son Adam, who will be four and half years old when he starts school. We are his parents, Charlie Walker & Maddy Debuse, and Adam is our only child and the only grandchild of both our families.
The reason we have written this book is because Adam has a condition known as Down Syndrome. We hope that that this book will explain Down Syndrome, how it affects Adam and the ways you might be able to help him.
This book is meant to help you to understand and get to know Adam. You can read it through alone, with us or Adam. Or look something up when you need to. This book is not finished. It will change as Adam grows up. If you feel something important needs to be added then please tell us.
