I first started my love of photos from a very young age. I have three photo albums from 1969 that are filled with photos from when my family lived in Papua New Guinea. These albums are filled with photos of my family enjoying what looked like continual parties whilst we lived up there and to me it signifies a very happy time for all of us. When my mother passed away in 1988, these albums were the only thing that I particularly asked for. And I still treasure them dearly. They were only standard ''snap shots'' from parties etc, but they signifiy so much more to me. I started to look at photography more seriously in 2001 and began looking at my surroundings in a new light. My style is very much taking in what is around you and capturing in a photograph the very essence and beauty within each object, our landscapes and the people that surround us. I hope to achieve the ability to give the viewer access to my thoughts and the enjoyment felt each time I take a new photograph.
